Monster Ball Dance

Jacob Wiens Elementary School students didn’t have to wait for Halloween to be given a treat. Thanks to parent volunteers, students were able to attend the annual Monster Ball Dance at their school.

The Monster Ball Dance and Fundraiser was a big hit. Nearly 300 people attended the costume ball on October 28th. Students and families truly enjoyed themselves as they talked, danced, and played in their Halloween costumes. Throughout the year, there are various fundraisers, but this event is a staff favorite.

While Mrs. Mazzei was away at the National PBIS conference in Chicago, Assistant Principal, Melina Serna, made sure that the students and families enjoyed their time together.  “Our ‘Book of Life’ themed Dance was a success.  It was exciting to see it all come together and our kids enjoying themselves,” said Assistant Principal Melina Serna. She continued to say that the event gave families the opportunity to spend quality time with their children and connect with the school staff.

Thank you to the parent volunteers, teachers, and ROTC cadets from San Jacinto High School for helping make this fundraiser a “monster” success!
