On Wednesday, March 23, 2016, Hemet Unified School District held its annual Employee of the Year Celebration. Every year, each department and school site nominates a Certificated and Classified employee to be recognized for their hard work.
Nearly 70 employees were nominated for this year’s Employee of the Year celebration. Thanks to the continued support from our sponsors, these employees were recognized in front of over 200 people. Ten employees were selected to advance to the county level to compete against others in Riverside County.
Governing Board President Jim Smith opened the night’s event by thanking the audience for their support and led everyone in the pledge of allegiance and a moment of silence. Dr. LaFaye Platter called the sponsors on stage to thank them for their overwhelming support in this program. After each site principal and department director was given an opportunity to thank their employees being recognized, Dr. Barry L. Kayrell called the ten employees advancing to county on stage. He spoke about their dedication and loyalty on an individual basis and thanked them for their hard work.
Below is the list of employees who were recognized by their department or school site. Employees were given a beautiful keepsake box, certificate of recognition signed by the Superintendent, and an additional gift from Altura Credit Union. The ten employees selected to advance were also given a plaque and a Congressional Certificate from the Office of Raul Ruiz.
