Dear Idyllwild School Families,
Given current weather conditions, our school day will be delayed by 1 hour today, Monday, January 27, 2025. School will begin at 9:30 AM and will still be released at the normal times. Due to elementary school conferences this week, elementary students will dismiss at 1:35 PM and middle school students will dismiss at 3:11 PM. As weather conditions continue to change we will provide and update as soon as possible should there be any further changes.
We understand that any change to the school day can cause significant disruptions for families and we want to assure you that this decision is not made lightly. Out of an abundance of caution for safety, we carefully consider all factors, including weather forecasts, road conditions, and advice from local authorities and transportation officials.
We appreciate your understanding and support in making sure that our school community stays safe in the midst of this weather activity. Due to the unpredictable nature of weather patterns, we will continue to process information in real-time by monitoring the situation closely and providing updates as necessary to keep you informed.
- PRESCHOOL: Please be advised that preschool will open at 9:00 AM.
- ELOP/SAFE: Before and after school programs will be available at 7:00 AM.
- TRANSPORTATION: Bus routes will be delayed by one hour. Please see your email for the latest updates from our Transportation Department.
