A Unique Partnership for Language Testing

Tahquitz High School exemplifies our commitment to linguistic diversity through its unique partnership with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). This collaboration supports students pursuing proficiency in less commonly taught languages. For example, two Tahquitz High School students are working towards earning their State Seal of Biliteracy in Indonesian. UCLA, the only institution in Southern California offering expertise in this area, has graciously assisted Tahquitz High School by facilitating the necessary language assessments. This partnership highlights our district’s dedication to fostering opportunities for students to excel in a variety of languages, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of our community.

At Hemet Unified, we remain steadfast in our mission to encourage language learning and celebrate the linguistic accomplishments of all our students. These achievements not only prepare them for future opportunities but also enrich our schools and our community as a whole.
