As the new school year begins, students across HUSD are arriving at beautifully upgraded campuses, thanks to the ongoing impact of the Measure X Bond and the continued support of the community. The significant improvements to school facilities have transformed the learning environment, making it more welcoming, secure, and conducive to student success.
Over the past decade, HUSD has been on a journey to revitalize its schools. With the approval of the $150 million Measure X general obligation bond in 2018, the district has embarked on numerous projects that include vital upgrades such as new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, secured entries, and renovated libraries and playgrounds, and four school-wide rebuilds. These changes not only enhance the appearance of school sites but also create a safer, more comfortable atmosphere where students can focus on learning.
As students step onto their newly updated campuses, they are met with vibrant, modernized spaces that reflect the district’s commitment to providing a high-quality educational experience. These improvements have created an environment where students feel secure, supported, and ready to learn.
HUSD is proud of the progress made through Measure X and looks forward to continuing its mission to create exceptional learning spaces for all students, with the support of its dedicated community.
