We are excited to celebrate Ms. Julie Arrocena as the Employee of Excellence representing Whittier Elementary. The staff and students are so grateful for Ms. Julie’s innovative ideas for engaging students, reigniting and fostering the love of reading.
In the short time that she has been at Whittier, Ms. Julie has increased opportunities for students to access library resources including student library workers known as “Library Wildcats”, activities such as Breakout Boxes (STEAM lab), and a library website that highlights class/grade level points and activities including links to educational resources and games. In addition, Ms. Julie has brought back Scholastic Book Fairs that have been very well received by our families.
