Natalie was supervising students in August during lunch time when she observed a first-grade student waving his hands in a frantic fashion and was turning red and blue. Natalie alerted the assistant principal quickly and jumped into action and performed the Heimlich maneuver on the student. The food became dislodged and the student started crying and told Natalie that she had saved his life.
The parent called and was very appreciative of Natalie's quick-thinking and brave actions. We are proud of Natalie’s quick lifesaving response. Sometimes when faced with life threatening issues, we can freeze. Natalie’s quick thinking and fast response saved one of our Jaguars and because of that we want her to be recognized. We are happy to nominate Natalie for the Good Apple Award.
