The Wellness and Community Outreach Center proudly recognized Dr. Travis Tramel with GeriSmiles for his commitment to the oral health of our students. Dr. Tramel has worked with Hemet for the past two years serving our preschool and kindergarten programs to ensure program compliance with oral health screenings. In the past two years, Dr. Tramel has screened more than 2,600 students in Hemet Unified and has followed up by providing dental services at school sites to our students most in need.
In addition to ensuring compliance with the oral health screening requirement, Dr. Tamel and his team have provided exams, cleanings, and sealants at our Back to School Resource Fairs to ensure our students begin the year with good oral health. We are extremely grateful for the partnership between GeriSmiles and Hemet Unified in services of our students.
