Dear HUSD Families,
While some school districts in Southern California have announced their decisions to close schools for tomorrow, we want to let you know that as of the current time, all HUSD schools will be OPEN.
Our dedicated maintenance and operations teams have been hard at work monitoring and preparing our schools for the impending storm. Working hand-in-hand with our administrators, they are vigilantly monitoring the progression of the tropical storm and the condition of our school facilities. Presently, there is no immediate threat to our schools or the routes leading to and from them. We want to emphasize that as of now, our commitment remains to maintain normal operations.
We will provide an update regarding the status of schools by 5:30 AM tomorrow morning (8/21/2023), giving us time to comprehensively assess the situation after the storm reaches maximum intensity. Your continued cooperation and partnership are greatly valued as we navigate these challenging conditions together.
