During the College & Career Department's CTE Mock Interview Competition held on March 29th at Tahquitz High School, a total of 9 high school students were recognized and rewarded with $650 scholarships for their outstanding achievements and professionalism. The competition involved a panel of business and career professionals who interviewed students about their CTE experience. Each student's performance in answering a series of questions was evaluated, and they were assessed alongside their peers from their respective schools.
On April 14th, all 48 participants of the Mock Interview Contest gathered in the boardroom for a special luncheon award ceremony. This event served as a way to celebrate and acknowledge the hard work and preparation demonstrated by the students during the interviews. Additionally, it was an occasion to honor the recipients of the scholarships. The students who received these scholarships hailed from Western Center Academy, Hamilton High School, Alessandro High School, Tahquitz High School, Hemet High School, and West Valley High School.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors who made this competition possible and enabled the granting of these scholarships: Anza Electric, Diamond Valley Honda, Black Voices of the Valley, Gosch Auto Group, HCN Bank, San Jacinto City Councilman Brian Hawkins, and Hemet Unified Leadership Association.
