The Governing Board of the Hemet Unified School District, on nomination by Trustee Patrick Searl, has selected Ms. Christina Montgomery, Library Tech III at Winchester Elementary School, as the April recipient of the Governing Board Recognition and Award.
When you enter the library at Winchester, it is evident that schoolwide literacy is its focus. Ms. Montgomery works with every student in Wildcat Country, teaching them to think critically and providing the resources and support they need in school and beyond. Most importantly, she nurtures their creativity by opening their minds to what is possible through literature. Christina contributes to our school-wide literacy goals by supporting students and their Lexile growth with her "Wall of Pride," and students are excited to choose and read literature that is challenging because of her support. Thank you, Christina, for your work and dedication to our Wildcats!
For outstanding performance, professionalism and loyalty to the Hemet Unified School District, Trustee Patrick Searl presented Ms. Christina Montgomery with the Governing Board Recognition of Excellence Award and a $500 certificate to be used toward the District program of her choice.
