On Thursday, December 8, 2022, the community came together and helped unstuff a toy-filled bus at Tahquitz HS. Approximately 100 volunteers from HUSD staff, Hemet PD, Business owners, and community members from the Soboba Foundation and Board, Chamber of Commerce, City Council, and other organizations came out to help support and make this an amazing event.
Soboba Foundation purchased 1,000 toys valued between $20- $25 each. Additionally, they provided 150 $20 Starbucks gift cards for our teenage students. An assembly line was created to sort the toys into age and gender categories. It was a beautiful night filled with a lot of toys, holiday songs, a hot chocolate bar, tamales, community connections, and the holiday spirit!
