Hemet, March 23, 2022: The Governing Board of the Hemet Unified School District, on nomination by Trustee Stacey Bailey, has selected Paul Fults, Teacher at Winchester Elementary School, as the March recipient of the Governing Board Recognition and Award.
Mr. Fults received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Northern Colorado in 1998 and his Master of Arts in Teaching, with Distinction, from National University in 2002. He has taught music in HUSD since 1998. Prior to coming to Hemet, Mr. Fults was a Library Assistant/Student Supervisor at Northern Colorado Music Library and he was a Steam Locomotive Engineer at Knott’s Berry Farm.
Paul Fults the Band Director for Winchester and Cawston Elementary Schools. He has a special ability to connect with students and grow their love of music. Mr. Fults leads his classes with an appreciation of music and it shows as his students show sincere determination in learning an instrument. Even though he supports two sites, Mr. Fults gives 100% to all of the students he educates. During distance learning, Mr. Fults continued to build relationships with students and their families by being a part of the site re-engagement team. He is always eager to assist wherever needed to benefit the school, staff, and students.
For outstanding performance, professionalism, and loyalty to the Hemet Unified School District, Trustee Stacey Bailey presented Mr. Paul Fults with the Governing Board Recognition of Excellence Award and a $500 certificate to be used toward the District program of his choice.
