It is with pleasure that we recognize Dr. Shawanda Arrington as Hemet High School’s Faculty Focus Friday recipient. Dr. Arrington is an outstanding teacher in our World Language department at Hemet High School, teaching American Sign Language. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she is our SST coordinator and our School Site Council Secretary. During the SST process, Dr. Arrington listens to the parents' and the students’ concerns and is never judgemental of the students’ specific needs. Dr. Arrington is an outstanding team player, especially in terms of sharing her room for SRI Lexile Testing and counseling students that cross her path in the discipline office. She always looks for ways to support students and families and ensures we are following through with appropriate interventions. She is always willing to sign up to cover classes during her prep when needed. Dr. Arrington is always a positive force on campus and shares that enthusiasm with all she works with. We are fortunate to have Dr. Shawanda Arrington as a member of our Bulldog Family!
