Background
Stacey grew up in Hemet, (her grandfather was a custodian at Hemet HS and her father, Norm West, was both a teacher and the head baseball coach at the school). After teaching in North Dakota for two years and Victorville for three, Stacey returned to Hemet where she taught at Hemet Jr. High and transitioned to West Valley when it became the second high school. She taught theatre, dance, film, English, reading, choir, special ed and English as a second language. She retired in May 2016 with 35 years. Her daughter, Sydni, graduated from West Valley in 2010.
As well as teaching, Stacey created summer theatre programs for children ages 5-18 working with the YMCA, Valley Wide and the Ramona Bowl. She has served on the Ramona Bowl Board for 12 years and was the President for 5 years. She also served on the California State Thespian board for over 20 years and was inducted into their Hall of Fame.
Interests
Stacey enjoys traveling and spending time with her daughter, son-in-law, and her two adorable grandchildren, Kingston and Bishop, who will be attending HUSD. She has visited many European countries as well as Brazil and crossed the United States by train several times.
